A witty parody of the momentous and painful period in Hollywood movie history when talkies took over from silent pictures, "Singin' in the Rain" is probably regarded as the most entertaining film musical of all time and was adapted by Comden and Green into a stage musical which ran in London for over three years from 1983.

Its success both on stage and in the cinema is not surprising, with such songs as "Good Morning", "You Were Meant For Me", "Make 'Em Laugh", "All I Do Is Dream of You", "Moses Supposes", and, of course, probably the best known moment in film history, the title song itself.
